Don't we all know how this feels? Sometimes it is essential to stop thinking, and just live.

I originally wrote this poem for Wende, after we had started our collaboration of surreal images and my short tales and poems. We seemed to be so much in sync that I was sure we must have known each other in a past life . . . which also happens with the other folk with whom I collaborate . . . Strange but true, and who are we to disbelieve?
Winter
Cold and dark. Not all of us enjoy this time of year . . .
I sat down one evening in late November, wrote this poem, recorded it and sent it over to Jan. Within days it was a fully formed track - if only it were all that simple.
A little background . . .
Jan has been a professional musician for forty years and I have been writing all my life. We have yet to meet in the real world. Jan toils away in his studio just outside Copenhagen, surrounded by the robots he has created, some of whom you will see in the videos. I toil away at my desk, pacing around my study writing and recording the vocals and then we do much chatting and toing and froing until a piece is just right. Jan used to say 'Amanda, a ten percent chance that someone will misunderstand the track or the meaning of the track means that it is not good enough.' We've narrowed the 10 percent down to 0.05! We take joint responsibility in the production and editing of the songs and videos - although I always feel that Jan is doing the lion's share.
